Elias Tarakji, MD

Dr. Elias Tarakji is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He received his residency, chief residency, and fellowship training at Wayne State University, School of Medicine and The Detroit Medical Center. He has been practicing gastroenterology since 1996. His special interests include advanced endoscopic procedures and screening colonoscopies. He is highly experienced in treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), swallowing problems, ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and biliary disorders. Dr. Tarakji is particularly interested in early detection and prevention of colon cancer by screening colonoscopy and polyp removal.
